Jessica Biel and Make The Difference Network’s Holiday Party at Childrens Hospital LA

On Tuesday, December 2, 2008, actress Jessica Biel and her family’s Make The Difference Network hosted a very special holiday party for the kids at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.  Jessica Biel and her family started the Make The Difference Network (MTDN), a social cause network that connects nonprofit organizations with potential donors and increases awareness for nonprofit organizations.  The Mission of MTDN is to democratize giving by increasing the visibility of thousands of nonprofit organizations and empowering potential donors to search, select and fund these organizations' specific "Wishes" and then see the results of their giving.  Visit www.mtdn.com for more information. 

The MTDN Holiday Party at CHLA was made possible by the generosity of Costco Wholesale who has been raising millions of dollars for the hospital over the years.  The Biels welcomed the children and their families to the Holiday Party and the festivities kicked off with a special performance by multi-platinum recording artist Alex Band of The Calling and a surprise dance performance by “So You Think You Can Dance” finalist Twitch.  Jessica and the Biels spent the day decorating cupcakes with the kids provided by Cake & Art and designing custom shoes with the team at TOMS Shoes.  Café Primo served up delicious gelato and the children got to make their own custom holiday cards.  Santa stopped by to visit and along with his friends at Hasbro brought presents for all of the kids.  The children enjoyed getting their faces painted, lighting the Menorah and playing dreidel and taking home beautiful flower and ornament arrangements from Francy Flowers.  Recording artist Tyler Hilton and his foundation T.H. Books donated new books for the CHLA library and Chaser LA gifted each child with a limited edition wild life T-Shirt. 

  Founded in 1901, Childrens Hospital Los Angeles has been treating the most seriously ill and injured children in Los Angeles for more than a century, and it is acknowledged throughout the United States and around the world for its leadership in pediatric and adolescent health.  The work that this hospital does to save lives and help children and families in desperate need is nothing short of miraculous.  Jessica and the MTDN family spent the day spreading holiday cheer to these very deserving and beautiful children while giving them an unforgettable experience.
